How it works

Set it up once. Mitso does the rest.

  1. Add your statements

Upload a PDF or CSV statement from each card you use for food; Mitso combines them. Coming soon: link a card in Plaid's secure screen and new purchases arrive on their own.

  2. Mitso keeps only the food

Dining out, delivery, fast food, coffee and groceries get sorted automatically. Everything else is ignored and never stored.

  3. See what you ate, too

Scan a receipt to see each item with estimated calories and a health label. Your monthly report shows where the money went and how balanced it was.

Why I built Mitso

It started with one question at a restaurant.

A friend and I were at a restaurant we'd been to more times than we could count, and we started wondering: is the food we keep ordering here actually good for us? Then a second question: how much have we spent here over the years?

We had no idea, and most people don't. We track steps, sleep and screen time, but food, the thing we spend on and put into our bodies every day, goes unnoticed.

So I built Mitso to do two things:

  • Show where your food money goes: groceries, dining out, delivery and coffee, from your card statements.
  • Help you choose better in the moment: search any dish before you order, or snap your plate to see its calories and how balanced it is.

Eat to 80% full. Spend to 80% of budget. No diet and no strict budget, just a little more awareness at every meal.
